CASE STUDY
Bird-safe glazing brings daylight and a distinctive architectural presence to new student wellness facility in Warren, Ohio.
The new Student Recreation & Wellness Center at Warren G. Harding High School was designed to bring athletics, education, healthcare and student activities together in one 136,000-square-foot facility. A prominent glass curtain wall helps connect the interior to Mollenkopf Stadium while filling the space with natural light.
Imperial Glazing Concepts completed the glazing for the project and helped guide the selection of bird-safe glass for the building. The glazing incorporates visible exterior markers designed to help reduce the risk of bird collisions while maintaining views and daylight throughout the facility.
The finished façade gives the Wellness Center the open, light-filled character envisioned for the space while adding an important layer of bird-friendly performance.
